Welcome to Western Heights Montessori’s 2024 Summer Camp! 🌞 We’re thrilled to announce our exciting ten-week program packed with learning, exploration, and endless fun for your child. From June 24th to August 28th, 2024, our campuses will bustle with laughter, discovery, and friendships.
Week 1: Space Explorers (June 24th–28th)
Join us at our Millcreek Campus for an out-of-this-world adventure to Outer Space! From constructing rocket ships to creating astronaut suits from recycled materials, children will ignite their imaginations and explore the mysteries of the cosmos. Get ready to blast off into a week of interstellar exploration and discovery! 🚀🌟
Week 2: Go Green (July 2nd–5th)
This week, children will explore environmental stewardship and learn about sustainable practices to protect our planet.
Week 3: All About Me (July 8th–12th)
Human bodies are mysterious and fascinating! Join us as we explore anatomy through science and art. It’s a week of self-discovery and wonder, from discovering how many bones are in our bodies to learning about our unique fingerprints.
Week 4: Hawaiian Tropics (July 15th–19th)
Aloha! From beaches to volcanoes, we’ll explore the wonders of Hawaii. Children will paint with sand, make leis, and experience a luau party as we immerse ourselves in this tropical paradise’s vibrant culture and natural beauty.
Week 5: Wonders of the World (July 22nd–26th)
What makes a wonder, a wonder of the world? Let’s explore together and find out! From the Great Pyramid of Giza to the Taj Mahal, children will travel the globe and recreate architectural marvels while uncovering the secrets of ancient civilizations.
Week 6: Summer Olympics (July 29th–August 2nd)
Get ready to embrace the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship as children compete in mini-games and exercises inspired by the Olympic Games. It’s a week of friendly competition, camaraderie, and athletic achievement.
Week 7: Reading Adventure (Aug 6th–9th)
Explore a world of imagination and exploration! From re-enacting favorite stories to creating a shared classroom storybook, this week brings reading to life, and every page is a new adventure waiting to be explored.
Week 8: Botany and Zoology (Aug 12th–16th)
Join us as we explore the fascinating world of plants and animals! Children will plant seeds, nurture them, and witness their growth as they discover the marvels of botany and zoology. It’s an interactive exploration through the cycles of life and the wonders of the natural world.
Week 9: STEM (Aug 19th–23rd)
STEM surrounds us; children will become young scientists and engineers this week! Through collaborative experiments and hands-on activities, they’ll ask essential questions, connect the dots, and unleash their creativity as future innovators.
Week 10: Weird, Wild, and Wacky (Aug 26th–29th)
Let your imagination run wild during our final week of summer camp! From wacky hair day to bizarre experiments, it’s a week of craziness and creative expression. Join us for an end-of-summer bash to celebrate the memories we’ve made and the friendships we’ve forged.
